Towing/lifting the vehicle
WARNING:
If the vehicle to be towed must be steered, the ignition device must
be in the ACC (Accessories) or RUN position, not in the OFF
position.
IMPORTANT:
Failure to respect the indications above when towing the vehicle
may cause serious damage to the transmission. Damage caused by
inappropriate towing methods is not covered by the limited warranty
of the vehicle.
5.1.2 Recommended towing equipment
Use of a flatbed tow truck or one with wheel lift is recommended in
order to avoid damaging shields and air conveyors. When a tow
truck with wheel lift is used, make sure that the non-lifted end of the
broken-down vehicle is at least 100 mm from the ground. If this
ground clearance cannot be achieved, use a tow truck. If a flatbed
tow truck is used, the ramp angle must not exceed 15 degrees.
