12. Raise the stabilizer jacks to their upright position. Insert crank and turn counter-
clockwise until jack is tight, then turn crank an additional 1/8 of a turn (snug tight).
13. Slideout units: Undo the Velcro and snaps from the slideout and place the tent
inside the slideout.
CAUTION:
DO NOT push beds or slideout in until ALL Velcro is detached. Push
beds and slideout in COMPLETELY before beginning to lower roof. Failure to push
the beds and slideout in completely BEFORE lowering roof can damage tent
components. This damage is not covered by your Jayco Limited Warranty.
14. Slideout units: Unlock slideout.
15. Slideout units: Push in the slideout room.
16. Slideout units: Lock slideout.
17. Slideout units: Pull the slideout tent from inside the unit, so that the bed slides do
not damage the material when pushed in.
18. Undo the Velcro on the bed ends (bunks) and fold the canvas into the center of the
mattress, keeping the material out of the bed track area.
19. Detach bottom of bed braces and attach to brackets under beds and push beds in
carefully and completely.
20. Push in the bed ends.
21. Slideout units: Push in the slideout tent.
22. Lower roof half to two-thirds down. Reach inside and distribute awning panel of
tent and drape EVENLY across bunk beds.
23. Continue to lower roof until final 6-8". Using both hands and arms, push tent from
each side, front and rear, into the center of camper evenly and carefully continue to
lower roof.
24. Attach roof latches to clips (Fig. 1). Due to air pockets, the roof may need to be
pushed down with your hand the last 1-2". Insert latches. The roof is designed to be
a floating roof. Contraction may occur when taking a cold unit into a warm
environment. This is a normal occurance and the roof will return to its original
shape when the interior and exterior temperatures of the unit equalize. If the roof
does not appear to line up with the walls of the unit, unlatch the corner latches,
adjust the roof so that it is even with the sidewalls and latch the corner latches.
25. Before removing crank, tighten cable system by turning crank in the “UP” move-
ment. This will place slight tension on cable system and avoid cables becoming
loose and entangled.
26. Remove crank and place in storage area inside camper.
27. Close door to crank compartment.
