Use

Prior to first use

1. Remove all of the packaging material. 

Before using it for the first time, the appliance 
must be cleaned in order to remove any possible 
residue left over from the manufacturing 
process. 

2. Press the button to unlock the lid  to open 

the appliance.

3. Remove any accessories that are inside the 

appliance.

4. Fill the pot up to the 3 CUP  mark with water 

and start the  

Quick cook

 program.

A slight odour may be emitted. However, 
this is harmless. Ensure sufficient ventila-
tion when using the appliance.

5. Stop the cooking process after approx. 5 

minutes and remove the  mains plug.

6. Allow the appliance to cool down completely.

7. Open the lid, carefully remove the pot and 

pour the water away.

8. Clean all the appliance as described in the 

chapter “Cleaning and storage”.

Using the appliance

  CAUTION

risk of scalds and burns

Always place the appliance on a solid, heat- 
resistant and level surface that is not sensitive 
to splashes. If necessary, place a non-slip mat 
under the appliance. Make sure that the appli-
ance cannot slip or overturn and that the mains 
cable is not dangling from the surface on which 
it is placed.

NOTICE

 – material damage due to steam

Make sure the appliance is placed somewhere 
where the escaping steam cannot damage wall-
paper, hanging cupboards or similar. 
The appliance must have at least 30 cm free on 
all sides and above it.

1. Insert the connection plug into the connec-

tion socket. 

2. Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.

You will hear a beep and the entire display and 
control panel will light up briefly.
The display is now visible and 

Menu

 flashes.

You are now in Standby mode.

Filling the appliance

DANGER

• Only cook in the appliance with the pot 

inserted.

• Do not overfill the appliance to avoid the 

contents from spilling out of the appliance 
during cooking. Only fill the pot up to the 
3 CUP mark.
