WCR Safety
•
Caution: Take all precautions to avoid electric shock.
Welding produces 20 to 100 volts. Even 50 volts is
enough to stop a persons heart.
•
Javelin welding cable reels are insulated. Insure they
remain insulated by checking that the insulators are in
good condition and cable cover is not cracked.
•
Always tighten lock knob before beginning to weld to
prevent damage to the contact plates.
Caution: Insure welding cable lug
is shrink wrapped to insulate
stem of lug from the reel
Check welding cable insulation
regularly and replace damaged
cable immediately.
