• The boiler must be kept upright during the transportation, installation and use.
• It must be installed on a solid, non-combustible floor out of rain or other water spray
• Reserve installation and operating space around the boiler
• All the pipe connections and couplings must be copper, brass or iron
• Do not use any plastic fittings or pipes with this boiler
• Install isolating valves to all pipework for easier boiler service
• Boiler maximum running pressure is 1.5 bar, observe this during the installation and operation
• Before comissioning, make sure the boiler is full of water and there are no leaks
• Use smoke pellets to test the flue before first use
• Inhibitor must be added to the boiler / thermal store water
• Make sure the boiler room has adequate air replacement vent installed. This must be at least the
  size of the flue diameter.

The YPV40 must always be connected to a thermal store. The recommended store size is
1800 - 3000 litres.
The flow between the boiler and thermal store must be pumped and the return water to the boiler
must be kept above 65°C. We recommnd the use of a Termovar, Vexve ACG or Vexve ACGE heat

In open vented systems the header tank must be heat resistant and have a minimum capacity of 10%

is 7-10% of the total water volume ( Thermal store + radiator / UFH network).

of the total water volume in the heating system.

The location of boiler couplings are shown on page 3. YPV40 boiler does not require electrical power

loading unit. Please refer to the drawing on page 5.

to work but the heat transfer pump will need a 5A 230VAC fused supply.

The highest point of the boiler pipework must be fitted with an automatic airing valve. If the system
is open vented, pipework must allow expansion from the boiler and the route for the air to escape
from the boiler.
Under no circumstances should the boiler be used whilst not fully filled with water.

A mechanical boiler cooling valve must be fitted to the indirect cooling coil at the rear of the boiler.
This can for example be a Jaspi TSK / STS valve shown here;

YPV40 must be fitted with a 1.5 - 2.5 bar pressure relief valve and an expansion vessel which capacity
