If the saw blade jams or the sawing procedure is interrupted, immediately turn off the machine and
keep the saw still until the saw blade has completely stopped. Never try to remove the saw from
the material or to pull it backwards as long as the saw blade is moving or a backstroke is likely to
occur.
When restarting a saw that is stuck in the material, center the saw blade in the saw gap and make
sure that the saw teeth do not get stuck in the material.
Support large plates to reduce backstroke by a jamming saw blade.
Immediately replace damaged or blunt cutting tools, do not use them any further.
Keep the tools clean. When changing the tools, always clean casing, locknut and thread. Please
follow the repair and maintanance instructions in the instruction manual.
Follow the manufacturer's instructions when installing or using the cutting tools. Only use
professionally ground cutting tools, otherwise there is the risk ot the tools smashing.
After having installed new cutting tools, they should be tested for at least 30 seconds at max. idle-
running speed.
The upper protective cover (sliding carriage)
(Fig. 2/
12) may not be jammed. The in and out
movement of the cutting tool from the sliding carriage must be running smoothly. In case of
troubles, have the machine repaired and checked by the manufacturer.
The machine may only be used for dry operations.
When dust is likely to be produced while working (e.g., cutting of stone, wood) appropriate
extraction must be fitted.
Materials containing asbestos or artificial minerals should not be processed with this machine.
Do not hold down the machine by force or do not use it as stationary implement with any kind of
fixture that has not been approved by the manufacturer.
Always position the cable in a safe distance from the cutting tool and always lead it behind and
away from the machine.
Never touch a rotating cutting tool.
Flying sparks may be produced while cutting. Make sure that no person is at risk and that there is
no risk of fire. Make sure that there are no inflammable materials close to the working area (flying
sparks).
Pay attention to the rotational direction of the cutting tool and the drive
(Fig. 2/
11). Only work in
the rotational direction.
Always pay attention, observe your work and work reasonably.
Do not use the machine if you are not concentrated.
