TO ADJUST THE TENSION OF SUB THREAD TENSION DIAL
After adjustment of the thread tension for 4 thread overlock sewing, slide the slide lever (C) from
“STD” position to “ R. H.” position without turning the thread tension dials. Make sure the sliding
thread guide (D) is set at “3/4” position.
Set the chainning-off finger position is set at “R” position and remove the left needle and thread
and adjust the sub thread tension dial as follows.
1. When the lower looper thread tension is loose, turn the adjusting screw (E) to the direction of
(A).
2. When the lower looper thread tension is tight, turn the adjusting screw to the direction of (B).
Note: If the tension cannot be set correctly within two turns of the adjusting screw, do not turn the
adjusting screw. It may require to make an adjustment on the other part of mechanism.
