Tools

One of the great strengths of the Android oper-
ating system is the wealth of tools, utilities and
productivity apps readily available for free or at
nominal cost from the Google Play Store or other
sources. The XT200’s

Tools folder

contains a

few examples of such tools.

Backup & Restore

The

Backup & Restore

app

allows manual backup of sys-
tem settings and user appli-
cations. Backups can be as-
signed a password. Backups
will be saved as .zip files to
Internal Storage or to a mem-
ory card. To restore a backup,
tap on the app’s Restore tab,
select which backup you wish
to restore.

Various tools

LogTrace

is a network testing

and analysis tool. It can be
used to radio frequency data.

CPU Settings

sets the mini-

mum frequency CPU cores run
at. This can increase perform-
ance, but at the cost of bat-
tery life. With

Power

Launcher

, you can secure

your XT200 by hiding Quick
Settings, restricting the use of
MTP (Media Transfer Protocol),
and disabling screen shots.
