WARNING: Chemical content notice
The solder used in this product contains LEAD. In addition, other electrical/electronic and/or
plastic components may also contain traces of chemicals found to cause cancer and/or birth
defects or other reproduction harm.
Avoid prolonged, unprotected contact between the solder and your skin! Do not inhale solder
fumes or expose eyes to solder/fl ux vapor! If you have been in contact with solder or components

Environmental information
•
The system is made of recyclable materials which can be reused if disassembled by
authorized
personnel.
•
Please follow local regulations for the disposal of packaging materials, used batteries and
discarded
units.
Important safety notice!
This product utilizes components, having special characteristics or critical for safety. These
parts are identifi ed by
mark in the schematic diagram, exploded views and spare part lists.
It is essential that these critical parts are only replaced with components specifi ed by the
manufacturer. This is to prevent electrical shock, fi re or other hazards.
Never modify the original design unless the modifi cation is approved by the manufacturer.
General Service guidelines
When servicing, observe the original lead dress. If a short circuit is found, replace all parts which
have been overheated or damaged by the short circuit.
After servicing, see to it that all the protective devices such as insulation barriers, insulation
papers shields are properly installed.
Avoid use, of excessive force and unspecifi ed use of glue. This may damage the product or make
future servicing impossible.
Before packing for shipment back to the costumer, make sure that the product is free of dirt and
fi nger marks. The product should appear as presentable as possible in order to fulfi ll customer
expectations.
Leakage current measurement
When service or repair has been completed, it is important to verify that all exposed conductive
surfaces are properly insulated from the circuits and mains voltage. Please make following
leakage current measurements to prevent the customer from being exposed to shock hazards.
See
fi gure 1.
•
Plug the mains cord directly into the AC outlet. Do not use an isolation transformer for
these
measurements.
•
Connect a 1.5K Ohm, 10 watts resistor, in parallel with a 0.15uF capacitor, between each
exposed metallic part on the product and a good earth ground such as a water pipe, as
shown
in
Figure 1.
•
Check each exposed metallic part.
•
Reverse the mains plug in the AC outlet and repeat each of the above measurements.
•
Leakage current must not exceed 0,5 mA.
In case a measurement is outside the limits specifi ed, there is a risk of shock hazard, and the
product should be repaired and rechecked before it is returned to the customer.
These leakage current measurements are according to IEC 60065 and UL 6500.
