2. Blade Tilt:

Position cutter blade parallel

to tractor

centerline (Foreand Aft).

Check that the front tip of

the blades

are .125to .375 below rear

tip.

If the

mower

needs to be adjusted,

remove both rear

hanger brackets and reassemble

them in different

sets

of holes

as necessary

to

get

the

proper

adjustment.

Move both rear brackets

the same

amount.

On models with implement

handle, proceed as follows:

1. Be sure that engine is off.

Set parking brake.

2. Pull implement lift handle back andlock it

in the last

notch of quadrant toraise the hitch assembly.

3. Set rear rollers inthe load position.

4. Slide the mower

under the tractor

(See Fig. 12).

5. Position the mower

under the tractor

as far to the

rear as possible.

6. Pushthe implement

lift leverforward to lower

the lift

linkage.

BELT INSTAllATION AND

ADJUSTMENT

IMPORTANT

The following

instructions

must be followedeach

time anew belt

isinstalled on your mower,

or the

mower is reinstalled on your tractor. You should
also check forproper adjustment

during theseason

of usage. The end result will be good performance

and extended belt

life.

1. Attach

the drive

belt, slipping

it over the

attachment

pulley, through the belt guide, over the two smaller
idler pulleys, and the larger

of the two engine drive

pulleys, asshown in Figure 13.

Makesure that

the

belt is not twisted

more than

required for proper

function (1/2 Turn).

2. Start theengine and raise themower

to the highest

position.

BESURETHE ENGINE ISSHUT OFF

BEFORE PERFORMING STEPS3, 4, and 5.

3. Grasp the two

belt sections that extend from the

attachment

pulley tothetractor

idlers, and squeeze

together. At the same time observe the spring onthe
spring-loaded idler (right side of tractor). Asthe belt
section6 are manually

squeezed together, the spring

should

begin to compress.

There should

be a

minimum of

1/8" (3.17mm) spring movement

before
