Cutting current up / down
By tipping on the key 1 or 2, the cutting current is adjustable between 20A and 40A (3)
3
Cutting current display from 20A to 40A
LEDs are showing the actual value.
4
Temperature fault indicator
Lights up if the source is Overheated. The unit doesn’t start.
Let the machine run with fun on, until the light goes off.
5
Compressed-air fault indicator
Lights up if there is insufficient supply of compressed air. The unit doesn’t start.
Check air pressure supply.
6
Control lamp cutting current
Is light, as along as the torch trigger is pressed and pilot arc or cutting current is active.
19. Preparations for cutting
Equipping the torch
Fit a plasma nozzle according to manufacturer's instructions respectively the at the main switch or step switch
given data into the torch. If the hole of the nozzle is too big, the power and quality of the cut decreases. If it is too
small, the plasma nozzle is overstressed and gets damaged.
Plasma nozzle and electrode are wear parts. A plasma nozzle with a badly burnt-out hole and an electrode with a
large penetration crater involves worse cutting quality and striking characteristics. These parts must be
exchanged by original wear parts.
At the exchange of wear parts take care that they are tightened fastly.
Recommended nozzle diameter:
from 20A to 25A
from 26A to 40A
Diameter
0,65mm
0,8mm / 0,9mm
Connection to work piece
Connect work piece with work piece cable to corresponding socket. Pinch work piece terminal to work piece,
choosing an appropriate spot without paint or rust for good conductivity.
Connect compressed air
Connect suitable compressed air supply at the rear gas nipple
Air: Oil, grease and dirt-free, max. 7bar, at least 120l/min
