given exemplary in chapter
3.6.
Further information regarding
individual parameters is
provided in chapter 3.10.
3.4 Setting the fan groups
to be browsed
Each of the fans shown in the main
screen has a definite address,
consisting of fan group (1..255) and
fan number (1..31) within the group.
Fan Control shows up to 30 fans in
the overview at one and the same
time.
As long as you are on the main
screen, MX Maintenance
automatically browses for existing
fans within any group you set. Your
input in
Ventilator/Initialization
determines which group is browsed.
The screen shot shows one
possible setting:
With this setting, groups 1 to
3, groups 7 and 35, as well
as all groups between 200
and 255 are browsed
inclusively.
3.5 Putting a plant into
operation
When putting a plant with a number
of networked fans into operation,
the following procedure is
recommended:
1. Connect the first fan with your
PDA and start MX Maintenance
Software.
2. This fan should be identified as
Group 1 Fan 1 (factory setting).
Tap on this fan.
3. Go to the menu item
Settings/Basic
settings/Fan address.
4. Now set another free address not
identical with Group1 Fan1.
5. Confirm the new address by
clicking
Set
.
6. Quit all menu items until you are
once again on the main screen.
7. Connect the next fan.
8. Carry out steps 2-7 until all fans
of your plant have been
connected.
Note: The fan address has to be unique
within one installation and thus may not
have been allocated already.
In their state of delivery, Storkair MX
fans are set to fan group 1 and fan
number 1. By going to
Settings/Fan
address
, this can be changed for the
selected fan.
3.6 Setting of fan

The typical procedure to set a fan
parameter is illustrated using the
parameter
Min.

minimum phase control factor) as
an example:
1. Start MX Maintenance Software.
2. Tap
on
Log In.
