WOR: Wake On Modem Connector J17
Function: A connector for the lead from a modem that
supports the Wake On Modem feature.
Description: This feature enables the system to “wake
up” from Suspend mode when it receives a ring signal
from a modem it is connected to. It works with a modem
PCI expansion card that supports the feature by connect-
ing the card to the WOM connector on the motherboard.
A signal from the card will wake up the computer only
when it is plugged into an AC power source and the sys-
tem is in a supported sleep state.

Audio-In Connectors:
The CD-In connector is for
CD-ROM or other optical
drives. Use the AUX-In
connector for an addi-
tional drive or a modem/
telephony device.
CN4 CD-In audio-in connector
CN3 AUX audio-in connector
CD-In & AUX Audio Connectors CN3 & CN4
Function: Connectors for audio-in cables from internal
peripherals.
Description: The two audio-in connectors on the
motherboard are for audio cables from optical drives such
as a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive or a modem/telephony
device. The connectors provide an audio input connec-
tion between a device and the integrated audio subsystem.

Wake On Modem
Connector:
This connector is for the
lead from a PCI modem
card that supports this
feature. The lead plugs
into the connector.
