■ Foundation work

Installation area should be larger than the footprint
of the pump. Or a plastic base may break due to a
concentrated load.
• If piping vibrates sympathetically with the pump in
operation, provide an expansion joint between the
pump and the piping to reduce vibration.
■ Tightening torque between the pump and pipework
Connect the pump to pipework via inlet and outlet flanges according to the tightening torque below. The table is
based on use of metal pipe flanges with rubber gaskets. Tighten bolts diagonally at even torque.
