Bushings
Replace bushing when the diametrical clearance exceeds 1.5X the values shown in this table or when the hy-
draulic performance has decreased to unacceptable levels:

6.6 Reassembly
6.6.1 Assemble the rotating element
WARNING:
Lifting and handling heavy equipment poses a crush hazard. Use caution during lifting and
handling and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, such as steel-toed shoes,
gloves, etc.) at all times. Seek assistance if necessary.
NOTICE:
•
Make sure that all parts and threads are clean and that you have followed all directions
under the Preassembly inspections section.
•
Check for magnetism on the pump shaft and demagnetize the shaft if there is any de-
tectable magnetism. Magnetism attracts ferritic objects to the impeller, seal, and bearings
which can result in excessive heat generation, sparks, and premature failure.
1.
Assemble the impellers (101, 145), the casing spacer sleeve (443A), and the casing spacer (443D)
onto the shaft. You must check casing spacer sleeve diameter and TIR before installing the casing
spacer (443D). The impeller is a slip fit onto the shaft (0.0127 mm to 0.0508 mm | 0.0005 in. to
0.002 in. clearance). Apply a liberal amount of an anti-seize compound onto the shaft.
