JUMP STARTING
For optimum performance when using your power pack to jump start a vehicle or boat, follow these
instructions:
1. Switch the ignition of the vehicle or boat to be jump started to “off”.
2. Connect the red (+) clamp (1) to the red (+) positive battery terminal of the vehicle or boat.
3. Connect the black (-) clamp (10) to a non-moving metal part of the engine, or to the negative (-) battery
terminal.
4. Turn the jump starter power switch (7) to “on”.
5. Switch the vehicle or boat ignition to “on”.
6. Wait one or two minutes.
7. Crank the vehicle or boat ignition to “start” for no more than 5 or 6 seconds.
8. If the vehicle or boat engine does not start, wait at least 3 minutes before trying again.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ALLOW THE RED AND BLACK CLAMPS TO TOUCH EACH OTHER OR
A COMMON CONDUCTOR.
9. Once the engine is running, turn off the jump starter power switch (7), disconnect the black (-) clamp first
and return this cable to its stored position on the jump starter.
10.Disconnect the red (+) clamp and return this cable to its stored position on the jump starter.
11.As soon as possible connect your jump starter to the AC adapter supplied (20) or a suitable
KEMAX
charger.
USING THE COMPRESSOR (1100A only)
Take the compressor hose and attach it to the compressor outlet (17)
1. Pull back the securing ring at the front of the hose connector.
2. Push the hose connector firmly onto the compressor outlet and release the securing ring.
3. Make sure the securing ring snaps into position.
4. Attach the nozzle of the hose to the tyre valve or, using the supplied accessories, to the object to be
inflated.
5. Use the compressor on/off switch (11) to control the compressor.
USB PORT
The jump starter is equipped with a 5V / 2A USB port (14). The USB port can be used with the jump starter
power switch (7) in the “off” position. The USB port has its own on/off switch (13) located next to it. The
USB port has an automatic protective system which will automatically reset after approximately 2 minutes if
an overload should occur.
