Special Instruction-Elliptical Lubrication
Reason (Symptom) for Applying Lubricant:
•
Rollers will track off the base rails as the unit is being used.
•
Squeaking noise from roller as pedals move over base rails.
APPLY THE LUBRICANT TO THE ENTIRE TRACKING SURFACE
Application Instruction:
•
Apply a thin coat of lubricant on the top and side surfaces of both base rails.
•
Lift pedal and use a soft cloth to spread lubricant evenly over tracking surface of the base rails.
•
After application, move the pedals back forth over the base rails and wipe off any excess lubricant.
Recommended Lubricants:
Note: Avoid using products that act more as a rust inhibitor, instead of an actual surface lubricant.
•
We recommend using a dry silicon based lubricant
•
Household car wax may also be used, but this may require more frequent applications.
•
Synthetic grease can be used, but avoid heavy (thick) applications.
Reapplication:
•
Apply as needed, based on frequency of use.
