3.7 Charging the rechargeable battery pack
Note
When charging the rechargeable battery pack for the first time or when rechar-
ging the rechargeable battery pack after a long period of storage, it must be left
to charge for at least 12 hours so that it can reach its full capacity.
It is then necessary to recharge if the connected motors or control systems can no
longer be provided with sufficient amounts of energy.
The charger connector is located on the right hand side underneath the blind.
1. Connect rechargeable battery pack to mains adapter.
2. Plug the mains adapter into a wall socket.
3. Once the full charge has been reached, an internal electronic switch is activated that
prevents excess charging.
4. Depending on the level of discharge at the time that charging commences,
the charging process may take up to five hours
Note
If a cold device (of around 5°C or less) is to be charged up in a warm room, allow
the device to stand for at least an hour in the room and charge the battery once
it has warmed up to room temperature (if this is not done, it is possible that the
battery will not be charged to full capacity).
