Grounding Instructions

DO

circumstances,

 

cut

 

or

 

remove

 

the

 

round

 

grounding

 

prong

 

from

 

any

 

plug

 

used

 

with

 

or

 

for

 

Invacare

 

products.

 

Some

 

devices

 

are

 

equipped

 

with

 

three

prong

 

(grounding)

 

plugs

 

for

 

protection

 

against

 

possible

 

shock

 

hazards.

 

Where

 

a

 

two

prong

 

wall

 

receptacle

 

is

 

encountered,

 

it

 

is

 

the

 

personal

 

responsibility

 

and

 

obligation

 

of

 

the

 

customer

 

to

 

contact

 

a

 

qualified

 

electrician

 

and

 

have

 

the

 

two

prong

 

receptacle

 

replaced

 

with

 

a

 

properly

 

grounded

 

three

prong

 

wall

 

receptacle

 

in

 

accordance

 

with

 

the

 

National

 

Electrical

 

Code.

 

If

 

you

 

must

 

use

 

an

 

extension

 

cord,

 

use

 

ONLY

 

a

 

three

wire

 

extension

 

cord

 

having

 

the

 

same

 

or

 

higher

 

electrical

 

rating

 

as

 

the

 

device

 

being

 

connected.

RED/ORANGE

 

warning

 

tags

 

on

 

some

 

equipment.

based

 

on

 

the

 

use

deep

 

cycle

 

gel

 

cell

 

batteries.

strongly

 

recommends

 

their

 

use

 

as

 

the

 

power

 

source

 

for

 

this

 

unit.

rain

 

storm

 

and

 

retain

 

powered

 

scooter

 

operation.

kind.

Direct

Weight Training

Invacare

 

does

 

not

 

recommend

 

the

 

use

 

of

 

its

 

powered

 

scooters

 

as

 

a

 

weight

 

training

 

apparatus.

 

Invacare

 

powered

 

scooters

 

have

 

not

 

been

 

designed

 

or

 

tested

 

as

 

a

 

seat

 

for

 

any

 

kind

 

of

 

weight

 

training.

 

If

 

occupant

 

uses

 

said

 

powered

 

scooter

 

as

 

a

 

weight

 

training

 

apparatus,

 

Invacare

 

shall

 

not

 

be

 

liable

 

for

 

bodily

 

injury

 

and

 

the

 

warranty

 

is

 

void.
