4.5 Installing Casters
DANGER!
Risk of Injury or Damage
To avoid injury or damage from instability or falling:
–
Ensure that the locking casters are installed diagonally
from each other and are locked.
– The proper casters are provided with the product.
DO NOT use any other casters with the product.

The product is equipped with locking casters. Before
using the product, test the wheel locks to ensure
casters lock correctly. Even with casters properly
locked, some flooring surfaces (such as tile or wood)
will allow the product to move under some conditions.
Using the bed on these types of surfaces MUST be
evaluated by the care provider. DO NOT transfer
occupant if product is not stable.

DO NOT move product with locking casters in
LOCKED position.
ALWAYS locate locking caster

diagonally opposite each
on bed frame.
If two locking casters are not included with the bed, contact
an Invacare dealer. DO NOT assemble the bed.
1. To install casters, lay the bed ends B flat on the floor.
2. Insert the caster shaft

into the caster socket

3. To prevent excess movement of the bed during assembly, lock
each of the two locking casters by pushing down on the caster
lock.
4. To unlock each of the two locking casters, push down on the
caster lock labeled OFF.
