Setting the brake force for a driving wheel with a drum brake at ROOMY NEW
EDITION with

16˝
wheels
In order to achieve an optimum braking effect, the brake force is adjusted using
the setting screw (Photo

)� The brake power is intensified by unscrewing
the setting screw and decreased by screwing it in� Please unscrew the screw
until you hear grinding noises on the
rotating wheel� Then screw the set-
ting screw back in until the grinding
noises disappear� Now the wheel runs
smoothly� After completion of settings,
the setting screw is fixed by tightening
the locknut (Photo

)� Pay attention
that the brake force is set to the same
level for both driving wheels�
Correct setting of the drum brakes:
The braking effect must be adjusted so that the wheelchair remains standing on a

° slope in the third brake catch with a load of
70
kg� When carrying out assembly
and adjusting, there is a risk of bruising one’s limbs� Never grasp moving parts
whilst carrying out this work! Always make sure that all previously loosened
connections are re-tightened correctly!
7. Care / Cleaning
ROOMY NEW EDITION is provided with a high-quality, resistant plastic coating�
Clean ROOMY NEW EDITION with soap suds and a soft sponge� Avoid aggres-
sive or abrasive cleaning agents as these may damage the surface� All normal
disinfectants for this area of use may be used�

In order to avoid falling out and dangerous situations, you should practice
dealing with your new ROOMY NEW EDITION initially�
