Terminology
Standby Mode
- The mode your phone is in when you’re not on a
call. The phone is ready to accept a new action.
Talk Mode - The mode your phone is in when you’re on a call. Some
of the soft keys will not be available when in this mode.
TCID
- Talking Caller ID. Your phone will announce the caller’s name
when the call comes in if you subscribe to Caller ID service through
your telephone company.
Call Waiting
- This service from your telephone company allows you
to place a call on hold and pick up an incoming call on the same line.
Soft Keys - Soft keys appear on the LCD screen of the base or hand-
sets directly below the LCD. The functions of these change, based on
the mode (standby or talk) or menu.
