3 INSTALLATION
3.1
POSITIONING THE EQUIPMENT
The LSU80A should be mounted on a level surface such as a workbench, sturdy shelf or a
trolley. The unit should be sited so that at least 10cm of airspace is available all round the left
and top of the unit and at least 20cm on the right hand side to allow free movement of air
required for cooling.
The LSU80A is supplied fitted with a standard UK three pin plug on 3m of lead.
The load is connected via two rubber insulated cables 3m in length. The cables are supplied
fitted with 8mm ring crimps and keyed mating connectors for connection to the LSU80A. The
cable has a cross section of 25mm

per conductor. While operating the unit at very high
currents the leads should be laid out in such a manner as to aid cooling.
