For optimal GPS reception, use the netbook as a writing pad and make
sure the handle faces up.

Move outdoors or to an open area to use GPS functionality. GPS relies
on satellites and needs a line of sight. Tall trees and buildings interfere
with satellite signals.
Note
Some GPS software allow you to use voice commands, such as turning
the volume up or down, entering addresses and asking how much farther
until the next turn. You can speak your commands into the built-in
microphone or a microphone connected to the netbook.
Conserving the Battery Power
You can use a combination of key controls to enter the sleep mode to conserve
the battery power.
In the sleep mode, hardware devices, such as the display panel and hard disk, are
turned off to conserve energy.
To enter the sleep mode, press and hold [Fn + F2].
To exit the sleep mode, press the power button.
