Programming the SmartLink-GP

Programming manual

• set generic parameters
• insert/change a number in the phonebook

Programming can be online, with the SmartLink On, via SMS messages, or
offline, with the SmartLink Off using a mobile phone to program the SIM
card.

The maximum number of SMS messages you can use depends on the SIM
card. Specifically: <

SIMCapacity>

-10 (e.g. if the SIM card can contain 40

SMS messages, you can use as many as 30).

Attention:

If you enter a parameter using less digits than
required (e.g.: “0100” instead of “01000” to enable
output 2), the parameter will be ignored.

Note:

Parameters that you do not wish to change can be omitted
if they are at the end of the message (e.g.:
“EastLight,NO,B”). However, you must leave the ‘,’
(commas) if the unaltered parameters are not at the end of
the message (e.g.: “EastLight,NO,B,102,,,3”).

Where unspecified 0=disabled, 1=enabled.

3.13.1 Programming online via SMS

Proceed as follows:

1.

Send the

<InstallerCode>

PRG ON message: SmartLink will initialize the

programming phase.

2.

All the LEDs will blink.

3.

Send the programming messages.

4.

Send the

<InstallerCode>

PRG OFF message.

Programming online via SMS may last up 60 minutes. All the 24h inputs

(refer to paragraph 3.8 Programming the SmartLink-GP as an Intrusion
control panel)

will be forced to standby status during the programming

phase. This will allow the installer to carry out maintenance work on the
SmartLink without generating alarms.

If the number of SMS messages sent during the programming phase exceeds
the limit, the SmartLink will ignore those in excess and will exit the
programming phase.

Attention:

If you do not close the programming session using
the “PRG OFF” message, the 24h inputs will remain
blocked until the 60 minute programming time
expires.
