Method for enabling the Radius server for the gateway:
Click "Administration >> AAA >> Radius". In "Server List", enter the server
address (domain name/IP address), port ID, and authentication key, click Add, and
then click Apply & Save.
9.5.2
The Terminal Access Controller Access Control () protocol is
similar to the Radius protocol. It uses the client/server mode for communication
between the network access server (NAS) and the server. However,
works based on TCP, and Radius works based on UDP.
The protocol is mainly used for AAA of end users and Point-to-Point
Protocol (PPP) and virtual private dial-up network (VPDN) access users. Its
typical application is to authenticate, authorize, and perform accounting for an
end user who needs to log in to the device for operations. As a client,
the device sends the user name and password to the server for
verification. After authentication and authorization, the user can log in to the
device for operations.
