4. Remove the cartridge by pressing the upper and lower faces with two fingers.
5. Replace the cartridge for another one with the same part number and manufacturer.
6. Close the lower compartment.
7. Close the DC and AC switches.
8. Check that the alarm has disappeared.
To replace the entire surge arrester, proceed as follows:
1. Remove voltage as explained in section “13. Shutting down the unit” .
2. Open the lower compartment.
3. The unit triggers an alarm when any of the cartridges fail, so you must inspect them to see which
cartridge is damaged. Once it has been determined which surge arrester contains the damaged cartridges,
proceed with the replacement.
4. Remove the polycarbonate protection from the area where the damaged surge arrester is.
5. Unscrew the power connections on the damaged surge arrester.
6. Remove the monitoring aerial connector.
7. Extract the surge arrester from its DIN rail and replace it with a new surge arrester.
8. Screw in the power connections again, making sure they are placed in the same order and without
forgetting any.
9. Install the monitoring connector.
10. Install the polycarbonate guard.
11. Close the lower compartment.
12. Close the DC and AC switches.
13. Check that the alarm has disappeared.
