To select a desired port,
1)
Locate the cursor in the entry;
2)
Enter the desired port number (1-10) on the keypad;
3)
Press the ACK key to select.
Item
Function
B
BAUD
Defines the Baud rate of the port.
Options and codes,
1 = 1200 bps
2 = 2400 bps
3 = 4800 bps
4 = 9600 bps
Note:
When PORT USE is set to TERMINAL, the options and codes for the baud rate are shown
below:

Item
Function
F
PORT USE
Determines the use of the port.
Options and code numbers,
1 = ALARM:
Used for connecting Alarm Interface Units to obtain multiple alarm outputs;
2 = KEYBOARD:
Used for connecting keyboards;
3 = TERMINAL:
Used for communication with PCs. Choose this when using any PC based
management software (such as the V2210). A baud-rate of 4800 is recommended;
4 = PRINTER:
Used
to output messages to a serial printer;
5 = AUX:
Used to connect auxiliary devices;
6 = ALARM TRAN:
Used to connect alarm transforming device;
7 = VIDEO LOSS:
Used to connect the DBVL (Data Buffer with Video Loss Detection).
8= HOT SWITCH
: the 10th port is available to set this option on the main CPU of dual CPU.
The baud rate here is 115200 fixed.
5.7 Non-host matrix Configuration
The V2923ACN network system is constructed in Host networking
way. In the network system, all the sites with their attribute well
configured are linked together via network connection. There are
Mono Host Matrix Switcher System, which consists of one host site
and multiple non-host sites, and Multi Host Matrix Switcher
System, which consists of several host sites and multiple non-host
sites.
In a network system, configuration of the whole system is
completed in the host site (host matrix CPU), including
configuration of video channels among the matrix switchers in the
system, configuration of functions such as TOUR, SALVO and
TIMER, configuration of pseudo for all the cameras in the system,
functions of the monitors used in the system, IP information for
every site in the system, etc.. For the non-host site, only the IP
information for the local site and the host site require configuration,
and then the non-host site downloads menu settings from the host
site (host matrix CPU).
The advantages of Host Networking System are as shown below:
1.
The host matrix CPU can manage all the video channels in the
system.
2.
The camera video inputs of any matrix switcher can be switched
to monitors of any matrix switcher in the system by assigning
pseudo number to all the cameras via network.
3.
Flexible system extension. The new matrix switcher can be added
to any node in the network, and only the relevant site needs to be
added in the host matrix switcher.
