Functional description
The PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor connects to a IMV VICTRON UPS and to a computer
via a serial RS232 port. The Shutdown adaptor supervises the alarm contacts provided by
the UPS and converts the contact status into the PowerFLAG CP4 protocol.
The PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor will communicate any change in an alarm status to
the PowerFLAG program running on the connected computer. Since the PowerFLAG
Shutdown adaptor is being powered directly from the computer's serial port, no external
power-supply is needed.
Suitable uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
The PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor is designed for use with all IMV VICTRON UPS with
ComConnect interfaces.
