Installation
Switch off your computer and UPS.
The PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor is designed to be connected directly to your
computer's serial port. Connect the connector labeled 'Computer' to your computer's
serial port. Protect the connection by screwing together Shutdown adaptor and serial
port. If your computer uses a connector other than DB9 male, consult your local
computer representative to get the right cable / adaptor for your system.
Please connect the PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor and UPS using the shutdown
adaptor cable. Connect the DB9 male connector to the connector labeled 'UPS' of the
PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor. Connect the DB9 female connector to the
ComConnect interface connector on your IMV VICTRON UPS.
Switch on UPS and computer.
Install the PowerFLAG software.
ATTENTION !: Do not interchange the connectors! This could cause severe damages
to the PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor which are not covered by the
manufacturer's warranty.
ATTENTION ! :
Use shielded cables only. Shield must be connected to your UPS' ground!

Service and maintenance
The PowerFLAG Shutdown adaptor requires no maintenance. Unauthorized opening of the
device voids the warranty.
Warranty
The manufacturer warrants the product for 12 months from date of purchase. This warranty
extends to replacement of parts and labour. Further claims as a result of external influences
(eg fire, flood etc) are excluded.Unauthorized opening of the device voids this warranty.
Damages caused by incorrect connection of the device are not covered by this warranty.
