Safety devices and controls for combi versions.
Adjustable system by-pass (2).
This device guarantees the circulation of water in the primary
circuit
(between delivery and return)
even when it would be
prevented by the high resistance of the system.
It is mounted on the delivery manifold (1) and adjusted by a
screw that can be accessed from the bottom of the valve sup-
porting plate.
System filling unit (3).
This is a ball cock located between the boiler circuit and the
domestic cold water inlet and it makes possible to pressurise
the central heating system.
The cock is connected to a filling up fitting (4) which, in turn,
is connected to the motorised 3-way diverter valve unit.
System pressure switch (5).
This switch detects the pressure inside the primary circuit. It
is housed in the delivery manifold unit (1) and coupled to a
microswitch that prevents the burner working when the pres-
sure measured is below 0.3 bar.
It prevents the primary exchanger overheating.
Automatic air vent (6).
It automatically expels any gaseous substances from the boiler
circuit.
It is mounted on the circulator delivery, directly on the hy-
draulic unit.
Safety valve 3 bar (7).
It prevents the safety pressure being exceeded in the primary
circuit (3 bar).
It is located at the front of the delivery manifold unit (1) and
fixed on the outside by a fork.
When this valve trips it causes water to come out through the
delivery pipe.
System expansion vessel (8).
It compensates the changes in volume following the heating
of water and permits to reduce pressure changes.
It has an 10-litre capacity
(7.4 useful litres)
and a 1.0 bar
preload pressure.
It is located at the back of the appliance.
