Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-
hen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steck-
dose, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur
in eine Fachwerkstatt.

Eine beschädigte Netzanschlussleitung darf nur
durch den Hersteller oder eine autorisierte Fach-
werkstatt ersetzt werden.

Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus der
Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.

Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig an-
geschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachgerecht

rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine
Garantie für das Gerät übernommen werden.

Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie es zur umweltge-
rechten Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recycling-
betrieb.

Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Der Dual-CD-Player CD-260CDG mit zwei Laufwer-
ken ist speziell für den professionellen DJ-Bereich
konzipiert. Viele Funktionsmöglichkeiten sind genau
auf diesen Einsatzbereich abgestimmt, z. B. Einzel-
titelwiedergabe und der manuelle Beatcounter. Zur
Textdarstellung beim Abspielen von Karaoke-CDs
(CD+G, CD+Graphics) lässt sich z. B. ein Video-
monitor anschließen.
Auf dem CD-Spieler können Audio-CDs, Kara-
oke-CDs und selbst gebrannte CDs (Audio CD-R)
abgespielt werden. Wieder beschreibbare CDs (CD-
RW) lassen sich nicht abspielen.

Gerät aufstellen und anschließen
Die Steuer- und die Laufwerkeinheit sind für die
Montage in ein Rack (482 mm/19") vorgesehen,
können aber auch als freistehende Tischgeräte ver-
wendet werden. Die Laufwerkeinheit muss auf jeden
Fall waagerecht betrieben werden, während die
Steuereinheit beliebig, z. B. auch geneigt, eingebaut
werden kann. Für den Einbau in ein Rack werden für
die Steuereinheit und die Laufwerkeinheit je 2 HE
benötigt (HE = Höheneinheit = 44,45 mm).
Vor dem Anschluss bzw. vor dem Verändern von An-
schlüssen den CD-Player und die anzuschließen-
den Geräte ausschalten.
1) Die Steuereinheit und die Laufwerkeinheit mit
dem beiliegenden Anschlusskabel verbinden:
Das Kabelende mit der Entstördrossel (kleines
Kästchen) in die Buchse CONNECT TO RE-
MOTE CONTROL (27) der Laufwerkeinheit ste-
cken und das andere Ende in die Buchse
REMOTE CONTROL/CONNECT TO MAIN UNIT
auf der Rückseite der Steuereinheit.
2) Sind an Ihrem Mischpult oder Verstärker Digital-
eingänge vorhanden, diese an die gelben Cinch-
Buchsen DIGITAL OUT (24 und 28) anschließen.
Bei Geräten ohne Digitaleingang die Stereo-
Ausgänge LINE OUT (23 und 29) – linker Kanal
LEFT und rechter Kanal RIGHT – über Cinch-
Kabel mit den CD-Player-Eingängen am Mischpult
oder am Verstärker verbinden.
3) Soll beim Abspielen von Karaoke-CDs der zu sin-
gende Text auf einem Videomonitor oder Fernseh-
gerät dargestellt werden, die Buchse VIDEO OUT
(22 bzw. 30) mit dem Videoeingang des Monitors
oder des Fernsehgerätes verbinden.
Mit dem Umschalter PAL / NTSC (25) die ent-
sprechende Videonorm einstellen (PAL
für
Europa, NTSC für USA).
4) Zuletzt den Netzstecker des Anschlusskabels
(26) in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.

Bedienung
Im folgenden Text wird die Bedienung des Lauf-
werks 1 beschrieben. Die Bedienung des Lauf-
werks 2 ist vollkommen identisch.
5.1
CD abspielen
1) Mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter POWER (20) den CD-
Player einschalten. Die Betriebsanzeige (21)
leuchtet und auf dem Display (5) erscheinen
nacheinander folgende Anzeigen:
„close“
(schließen)
„read“
(lesen)
„no disc“ (keine CD) – wenn keine CD eingelegt ist
2) Mit der Taste
(3 oder 19) die CD-Schublade
(18) öffnen. Im Display erscheint „OPEN“ (offen).
3) Eine CD mit der Beschriftung nach oben einlegen
und die CD-Schublade mit der Taste
schließen. Bei korrekt eingelegter CD gibt das
Display nach kurzer Zeit die Gesamttitelanzahl (f)
und die Gesamtspieldauer (g) der CD an und an-
schließend die Spieldauer (g) des ersten Titels.
[Soll nach dem Einlegen der CD sofort der
erste Titel starten, die CD-Schublade mit der
Taste (10)
schließen.]
4) Zum Starten mit dem ersten Titel die Taste
(10) drücken (falls die CD-Schublade mit der
Taste
geschlossen wurde). Solange die CD
abgespielt wird, zeigt das Display das Symbol
(b). Soll mit einem anderen Titel gestartet wer-
den, zuerst ggf. die Taste +10 (9) und dann die
Taste
oder
(4) so oft drücken, bis die
gewünschte Titelnummer im Display erscheint.
Danach den Titel mit der Taste
starten.
5) Das Abspielen kann jederzeit mit der Taste
unterbrochen werden. Im Display erscheint das
Pausensymbol
(a) und die LEDs über den
Tasten
und CUE (8) blinken. Zum Weiterlau-
fen der CD die Taste
noch einmal drücken.
6) Nach dem Einschalten steht das Gerät immer
auf Einzeltitelwiedergabe; das Display zeigt
„SINGLE AUTO CUE“ (d). Ist ein Titel zu Ende
gespielt, schaltet das Gerät am Anfang des nächs-

The wires in this mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
blue = neutral
brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

Applications
The dual CD player CD-260CDG with two player
mechanisms has especially been designed for pro-
fessional DJ applications. For the text display when
playing karaoke CDs (CD+G, CD+graphics) it is
possible to connect e. g. a video monitor.
It is possible to play audio CDs, karaoke CDs,
and CDs you have burnt yourself (audio CD-R) on
the CD player. It is not possible to replay rewriteable
CDs (CD-RW)

Setting-up and Connecting the Unit
The control unit and the player mechanism unit are
provided for mounting into a rack (482 mm/19") but
they can also be used as table top units. The player
mechanism unit must in any case be operated in
horizontal position, while the control unit can be
installed as desired, e. g. also in inclined position.
For the installation into a rack two rack spaces each
are required for the control unit and the player
mechanism unit (1 rack space = 44.45 mm).
Prior to the connection or changing of connections
switch off the CD player and the units to be connected.
1) Connect the control unit and the player mecha-
nism unit with the supplied cable:
Connect the cable end with the anti-interference
choke (small box) to the jack CONNECT TO
REMOTE CONTROL (27) of the player mecha-
nism unit and the other end to the jack REMOTE
CONTROL /CONNECT TO MAIN UNIT on the
rear side of the control unit.
2) If your mixer or amplifier is equipped with digital
inputs, connect them to the yellow phono jacks
DIGITAL OUT (24 and 28).
For units without digital input connect the ster-
eo outputs LINE OUT (23 and 29) – channel
LEFT and channel RIGHT – via cables with
phono connectors to the CD player inputs on the
mixer or amplifier.
3) For reproducing the text for singing on a video
monitor or TV set when playing karaoke CDs,
connect the jack VIDEO OUT (22 or 30) to the
video input of the monitor or TV set.
With the selector switch PAL/NTSC (25)
adjust the corresponding video standard (PAL for
Europe, NTSC for USA)
4) Finally connect the mains plug of the cable (26)
to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).

Operation
In the following text the operation of player mecha-
nism 1 is described. The operation of player mecha-
nism 2 is exactly the same.
5.1
Playing a CD
1) Switch on the CD player with the POWER switch
(20). The POWER LED (21) lights up and the fol-
lowing indications are shown in the display (5)
one after the other:
“close”
“read”
“no disc” – if no CD has been inserted
2) Open the CD drawer (18) with button
(3 or 19).
“OPEN” is displayed.
3) Insert a CD with the lettering facing upwards and
close the CD drawer with button . With the CD
correctly inserted, after a short time the total
number of titles (f) and the total playing time (g) of
the CD are displayed and then the playing time
(g) of the first title.
[To start the first title immediately after inserting
the CD, close the CD drawer with button
(10).]
4) To start the first title, press button
(10) [if the
CD drawer was closed with button ]. As long as
the CD is played, the symbol
(b) is displayed.
To start with another title, first press 10
(9), if necessary, and then button
or
(4) so
many times until the desired title number is dis-
played. Then start the title with button
.
5) The playing can be interrupted any time with button
. The pause symbol
(a) is displayed and the
LEDs above the buttons
and CUE (8) flash. To
continue the CD, press button
once again.
