4.d INSPECTION AND CLEANING OF CHIMNEY AND FANS
Starting problems can also be caused by the gradual clogging of the chimney. Check with periodicity
cleaning of the exhaust pipe and the cochlea of the vacuum cleaner of the gases. Aspirate or remove the
excess fluff which, besides slowing down the air flow, reduces the discharge section by altering the suction
and therefore the gas/air mixture.
The clogging of the flue corresponds to a drastic reduction of air flow. The correct air/gas mix in burners can
not be guaranteed.
If the blockage is too high, the depressor installed in the machine will turn off the ignition system of gas. This
anomaly is not detected by the electronic board with an error visible in the display. Therefore, if the machine
does not exercise any attempt at ignition and at the same time no alarm is released, remove the drain hose
and try to warm up the temperature of the machine. Proceed with cleaning as suggested. In spite, if the
machine was not able to turn on the gas pressure test the behavior of the "PR" with an ohmmeter. The
contact of the pressure switch should switch when the fan starts vacuuming (
).
The cleaning of the chimney means the inspection of the entire duct, starting from the connection with the
machine up to the highest point of the chimney.
