VTM-2000 Installation and Operation Handbook 

 

 

Analog Gamut – Peak Lower 

1.

 

Connect the NTSC analog color bars to input C of the VTM-2000. 

2.

 

On the VTM-2000, press the SETUP button and select VIDEO ALARMS 
ANALOG\ANALOG GAMUT\PEAK LOWER and enable the alarm. 

3.

 

Set the NTSC threshold to –14 IRE, sensitivity to 2 CES, and the duration to 0 seconds. 
There should be no alarms. 

4.

 

Set the threshold NTSC to –13 IRE. The alarm should occur immediately. 

5.

 

Set the NTSC threshold back to –14 IRE. The alarms should turn off. 

6.

 

Connect PAL color bars to input C. 

7.

 

Set the PAL threshold to –23 units. No alarms should occur. 

8.

 

Set the PAL threshold to –22 Units. The alarm should occur immediately. 

9.

 

Set the sensitivity to 3 CES. The alarm should turn off. 

10.

 

Set the sensitivity back to 2 CES and the threshold to –23 units. Verify that no alarm 
occurs. 

11.

 

Set the duration to two seconds and repeat the steps above. Keep in mind that the 
alarms will occur after two seconds and not immediately.
