Alarm Descriptions

VTM-2000 Installation and Operation Handbook

Digital Gamut – RGB Gamut Lower

Connect the “Test Signal” of the VSG to input A of the VTM-2000.

Set the VSG to 525 100% color bars.

On the VTM-2000, press the SETUP button and select VIDEO ALARMS
DIGITAL\DIGITAL GAMUT\RGB GAMUT LOWER and enable the alarm.

Set the threshold to –2 mV, sensitivity to 15CES, and duration to 0 seconds. There
should be no alarms.

Step the threshold to –1 mV, and the B component should alarm. Step the threshold
to 0 mV, and the R component should alarm. Set the threshold to 1 mV, and the G
component should alarm. All alarms should occur immediately.

Change the threshold back to –2 mV. The alarms should turn off.

Set the sensitivity to 14 CES. The R component should alarm immediately, but the G
or B should not.

Change the sensitivity back to 15 CES. The R alarm should turn off.

Set the duration to two seconds, and repeat the steps above while keeping in mind
that the alarms will occur after two seconds and not immediately.

Video Alarms Analog

Loss of Signal

Connect the analog color bars to input C of the VTM-2000.

On the VTM-2000, press the SETUP button and select VIDEO ALARMS ANALOG\LOSS
OF SIGNAL and enable the alarm.

Set the duration to 0 seconds.

Remove the signal and the alarm should occur immediately.

Reapply the signal and the alarm should turn off.

Repeat the steps above with the duration set to 2 seconds. Remember that alarms
will not occur immediately. They will occur after two seconds.
