HOW TO USE THE MANUAL MODE

Insert the key into the console.

A moment after the
key is inserted, the
four displays, the
LED track, and
various indicators
will light.

Select the manual mode.

When the key is
inserted, the manual
mode will automati-
cally be selected, as
shown by the manual
indicator. If you have
selected a workout
program, press the mode button repeatedly until
the manual indicator lights.

Put on the heart rate monitor if desired.

For the CALORIES/PULSE display to show your
heart rate, the heart rate monitor must be worn. To
put on the heart rate monitor, see HOW TO USE
THE HEART RATE MONITOR on page 6.

Press the START button and adjust the speed
of the walking belt.

A moment after the START button is pressed, the
walking belt will begin to move. Hold the handrails
and carefully begin walking.

As you exercise, change the speed of the walking
belt as desired by pressing the SPEED buttons.
Each time one of the buttons is pressed, the
speed will change by 0.1 mph. The buttons can be
held down to change the speed setting quickly.
Note: It may take a few seconds for the walking belt

To stop the walking belt, press the STOP button.
The TIME/INCLINE display will begin to flash. To
restart the walking belt, press the START button.

pressed, the incline will change by 0.5%. The but-

track represents a dis-

you exercise, the indi-

you have completed 1/4 mile. A new lap will then
begin.

shows the distance that
the walking belt has
moved and the number
of 1/4-mile laps you have

current pace (pace is
measured in minutes per
