The goal is to achieve a single pattern of continuous
laser pulses rather than a series of individual laser
pulses.

The dark circle in the center of the tip is the
lens that delivers each laser pulse.
After each
pulse, you must lift the tip from the skin,
and move to the next treatment location to
deliver the next laser pulse.
You cannot slide
the tip from one treatment spot to the next.
For best possible results, each laser pulse
should overlap the previous in order to achieve
uniform coverage in your treatment zones.
This is to ensure that all the skin in a treatment
zone will be treated. You only need to move
the tip 1/4 of an inch with each laser pulse
to achieve uniformity. You’ll find that the
sensation of the laser pulse will help guide you
as you move along. When the treatment tip is
pressed against the skin, the skin temporarily
blanches or whitens. Use the blanched outline
as a guide for spacing the treatment spots. This
is true with facial skin as well.
