11.

Secure work. Use clamps or a vice to hold the work when practical. It is safer than using your
hand and it frees both hands to operate the machine.

12.

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Wear rubber-soled footwear.
Keep floor clear of oil, scrap and other debris.

13.

Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance. Follow
instructions for lubrication and changing accessories.

14.

Reduce the risk of unintentional starting. Disconnect the machine always when not in use, be-
fore adjusting or servicing and when changing accessories such as blades etc. Make sure switch
is in off-position before plugging it in.

15.

Use only original spare parts and accessories. The use of any other spare parts or accessories
than original parts may cause a risk of injury.

16.

Never stand on the machine. Serious injury could occur if the machine is tipped or if the blade is
unintentionally contacted. Do not store anything above or near the machine.

17.

Check the machine for damages. If you notice any damages in the machine, in its guards or
other parts, do not use it until it has been repaired in an authorized service center. Check for
alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting and any other
conditions that may affect the machine operation. Damaged parts should be properly repaired or
replaced by an authorized service center.

18.

Never leave the machine running unattended. Turn power off and do not leave the machine until
it comes to a complete stop.

19.

Do not abuse the cord. Never yank the cord to disconnect it from the socket. Keep the cord
away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving parts. Replace damaged cord immediately in an
authorized service center.

20.

Before plugging in the machine, make sure the voltage used is the same as that on the name
plate.

21.

Do not use the machine when you are tired, sick or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, medi-
cation or similar that could affect your ability to use the machine safely.

22.

An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. In such case, make sure that
the extension cord and plug match the tool cord and plug by type, size, shape and other qualifi-
cations and that it is properly wired and in good condition. Do not use extension cord with di-
ameter smaller than 2,5 mm

or length longer than 20 m, otherwise the motor may be damaged.

SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1.

Be especially careful when using the band saw in vertical position to keep fingers and hands out
of the path of the blade, both above and beneath the table.

2.

Never hold the workpiece by hand with the saw in horizontal position. Always use clamps or a
vice.

3.

Keep the belt guard and wheel covers in place and in working order.

4.

Support long and heavy workpieces from the floor.

5.

Always remember to switch off the machine when the work is completed.

6.

Keeping the band saw in top condition is essential for safety.

ASSEMBLY

1.

Assemble the stand legs on the band saw base.

2.

Assemble the handle vice wheel and tighten the set screw.
