K. Mounting the support leg to the sliding rail
- An adjustable support leg is supplied to be mounted onto
the sliding rail for safe operation.
1. Extend the support leg to approximately the correct
height, then mount it.
2. Fully extend the adjustable support leg to the correct
height and tighten the allen bolt to secure.
L. Workpiece clamp
- Safe workpiece guidance is a precondition for accurate
and safe working. It is therefore important that you use
the workpiece clamp correctly.
1. Fit the pulling rod into its locating hole situated on the
stop tube. Hold the rod in place with the supplied coun-
tersunk screw (from below).
2. Attach the workpiece clamp to the pulling rod; the desired
height can be held with the handwheel.
M. Adjustment of the workpiece clamp
1. Place the workpiece on the bench.
2. Apply the workpiece clamp with the lever in position “a”
to the pulling rod.
3. Loosen the height adjusting handwheel and place the
lever in position “b”, lower the clamp until it is touching
the workpiece and re-tighten the handwheel to secure.
4. To clamp the workpiece, move the clamp into position
“c”.
Installing the rip fence
1. Unpack the rip fence part from the
carton.
2. Place the rip fence assembly on the
scale mount.
3. If needed, attach the L-shaped exten-
sion to the rip fence.
4. Slide the rip fence onto the rear and
front rails. Note: This fence has a set
micro-adjusting device which is po-
sitioned on the right side of the scale
indicator housing. When you ensure
the exact position by adjusting the
rip fence and micro-device, you
should push down the rip fence han-
dle to lock the rip fence.
5. Adjust the rear and front rails to keep the rip fence 1 mm above the table.
6. Place the rip fence against the saw blade and check the red line of scale mount right lens with
the scale “0” on the front rail.
7. Lock down the rip fence handle after adjusting the rip fence to the proper position.
