User programmable Fail-Safe positions:
After installing the receiver in the model, please switch on the transmitter and than the receiver, move the transmitter
sticks and set the servo direction, trimming, servo throw, mixer etc. into the position in which you would like them to
go in case of an interference. Ask someone to hold the transmitter sticks in the selected position while you work on
the programming as follows:
Leave the transmitter switched on
Switch off the receiver.
Plug a jumper into any receiver channel.
Switch receiver on.
Wait for about 10 seconds
Take off the jumper
Your Fail-Safe system is now set up.
Testing the Fail-Safe function
Switch on transmitter
Switch on receiver
Check functions and assignments of all servos (direction, correct channel?)
Move all control sticks into any position and switch off the transmitter. Initially all servos should stay at their last posi-
tions. After about 2 seconds they should move into the pre-programmed positions.
If this does not happen, please repeat the programming procedure.
WARNING: When switching off a computerized transmitter it may take up to 8 seconds until the transmitter reboots
after switching it on again, resulting in an up to 8 second delay to the resumption of the control functions. NEVER
perform the ON/OFF test during flight; it could by your last flight on that day.
One more proposal:
Due to the complexity of the receiver features and the possibility of user programming it is recommended to perform
a pre-flight check to test if all channels as well as the HOLD and Fail-Safe modes are performing as programmed.
Your IKARUS Team is wishing you many happy flying hours and safe landings.
