Finding a

Nearest

Waypoint

When you press the NRST key, your Apollo GX will

search for the nearest 20 waypoints within 600 nm for

each waypoint type. You can also be selective about

the runway length, lighting, and surface type. See

Setting Runway Limits on page 36.
1. Press the NRST key. The Nearest Waypoint

function is displayed with the distance and bearing

from your present position to the indicated

waypoint.

2. Turn the LARGE knob to view the different

waypoint types.

4. To quickly navigate to a Nearest Waypoint, press

DIRECT-TO and then ENTER.

Note

The last viewed Nearest Waypoint will be

the waypoint shown the next time you want

to insert a waypoint. For instance, if you

press

NRST

and look at PDX, the next

time you want to insert a waypoint into a

flight plan, PDX will show first.
