Due to various outside influences, e.g. temperature, the viscosity of the individual
formulations varies and fluctuation in output are obvious. We, therefore, ask you to do your
own metering under prevailing conditions as following:
Unscrew dosage nozzle (250) and fog solution socket (57) and screw together again by
hand, leaving the end of fog solution socket free. Start unit and wait for pressure to establish
in solution tank (1) abt. 1-2 minutes, open solution tap (50) and - if available - press starter
button (210) for fogging: Collect the formulation for 60 seconds in a metering can. Convert
the collected formulation now to output/h (l/h).
Example:
l/h = 0,06 x (measured quantity in cm

l/h = 0,06 x 900 cm

= 54 l/h

Starting the unit

open fuel tap (158) by ¼ turn of the handle - parallel to the cock axis
(see picture 4)

Agitate starting air pump (82) by pressing starter button (195) a the same time.
Comment:
When starting the unit, everything depends on an even pumping action. If unit is cold, pump
smoothly and if unit is warm, pump moderately. After the first explosions are audible,
continue pumping 2-3 times the same as before, in order that pressure can build up quicker
in the carburettor system. Then let starter button (195) and pump spindle (82) loose.
Attention:
The required starting air produced by the pump spindle (82) depends on the level of the fuel
in the fuel tank (151). Therefore, try to start with fuel tank always full. The fuel tank capacity
is sufficient to keep the unit running for abt. 80 minutes.
Attention:
In case of full fuel tank and warm or hot unit, the carburettor can get flooded, if pumped too
vigorously. Black fume emerges from the end of the fog tube (260) or you can see a flame
without any explosions being audible. Close fuel tap (158) and repeat starting as explained
above until explosions are no longer audible. Start again with fuel tap (158) open.
