Indicators
To support start-up and fault diagnosis the evaluation unit has several indicators
(light emitting diodes = LEDs) on the front panel.
Voltage supply
The green LED B5 (see the figure on page 18) indicates the internal supply voltage.
Fault indication
In principle, the red LED B4 (see the figure on page 18) indicates that the safety chain
is not ready for operation. Immediately after power on this operating state is active
until the first enabling and testing of all connected safety switches. If this operating
state occurs after the first enabling, a fault was found.
Triggering the output stages
The two green LEDs B6 (see the figure on page 18) indicate whether the NPN/PNP
output stages are triggered.
Clock output
Approx. 5 seconds after power on the yellow LED B1 flashes (see the figure on page
18) with a frequency of approx. 3 Hz.
This clock signal is then successively applied to the connected safety switches.
Switch display
The green LEDs B2 and B3 (see the figure on page 18) indicate the enable informa-
tion (flash with a frequency of approx. 3 Hz) of the connected safety switches/chains
1...3 and 4...6 (note: if a chain with an even number of switches is connected, this
display function is suppressed).
