LEVEL 1 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
1-1 GENERAL
To guarantee the extended life of the IER 567 Printer, the maintenance schedule described herein must
be adhered to.
IMPORTANT:
The degree of soiling of the printer and in particular the printhead and drive
rollers varies according to stock quality and environmental conditions. It is
important to regularly check the printer for soiling and keep it clean.

LEVEL 1 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
Before performing any level 1 maintenance, print out a
“statistics coupon”
from the
Counters
submenu
(see Chapter 2, Sheet A-2). This coupon shows the error counters which can be analyzed to focus
maintenance on problem areas.
The printer is set on a tabletop for level 1 preventive maintenance.

PART REPLACEMENTS AUTHORIZED AT LEVEL 1 MAINTENANCE
Only the thermal printhead module can be replaced in case of failure.
Refer to sheet C-1 for replacement of this module.
