Disable all ATA/IDE ports. No Primary/Secondary IDE

mode is presented for configuration

Compatible

EFAULT

Up to 4 HDDs can be used, two for SATA and the other

for PATA IDE. If this option is selected, “Legacy IDE

Channels” option is presented for configuration.

Enhanced

If this option is selected, “Configure SATA as” and

“Configure SATA channels” options are presented for

configuration.

Legacy IDE Channels [SATA Pri, PATA Sec]

Use the

Legacy IDE Channels

option configures PATA and SATA resources for

operating systems that require legacy IDE operation.

SATA Only

Enable up to two SATA devices

Reserved

The legacy IDE channels are reserved

SATA Pri,

PATA Sec

EFAULT

This option allows the system to access the SATA

devices before the primary IDE devices

PATA Only

Enable the two primary IDE devices. Select this option

only when the two primary IDE devices are available

IDE Master and IDE Slave

When entering setup, BIOS auto detects the presence of IDE devices. This displays the

status of the auto detected IDE devices. The following IDE devices are detected and are

shown in the

IDE Configuration

menu:
