5.3.2 IDE Configuration

Use the IDE Configuration menu (

BIOS Menu 4

) to change and/or set the configuration of

the IDE devices installed in the system.

BIOS Menu 4: IDE Configuration

OnBoard PCI IDE Controller [Both]

Use the

OnBoard PCI IDE Controller

BIOS option to specify the IDE channels used by

the onboard PCI IDE controller. The following configuration options are available.

Disabled

Prevents the system from using the onboard IDE

controller

Primary

Only allows the system to detect the Primary IDE

channel, including both the Primary Master and the
