4.3 CPU Installation
WARNING:
CPUs are expensive and sensitive components. When installing the
CPU please be careful not to damage it in anyway. Make sure the CPU
is installed properly and ensure the correct cooling kit is properly
installed.
WARNING:
DO NOT touch the pins at the bottom of the CPU. When handling the
CPU, only hold it on the sides.
Step 1: Undo the top screws. The screws cannot be removed from the heatsink, loosen
until completely loose.( Figure 4–1 )
Step 2: Remove the side screws.( Figure 4–1 )

Step 3: Unlock the CPU retention screw. Make sure the retention lock is unlocked. See
Figure 4-2 .
