Step 3:

Secure the bracket

. The dual RS-232 connector has two D-sub 9 male

connectors secured on a bracket. To secure the bracket to the chassis please

refer to the reference material that came with the chassis

Step 0:

4.5.4 Single RS-232 Cable with Slot Bracket

The single RS-232 cable consists of one serial port connectors attached to a serial

communications cable that is then attached to a D-sub 9 male connector that is mounted

onto a bracket. To install the single RS-232 cable, please follow the steps below.

Step 1:

Locate the connector

. The location of the RS-232 connector is shown in

Chapter 3

Step 2:

Insert the cable connector

. Insert the connector into the serial port box header.

. A key on the front of the cable connectors ensures the

connector can only be installed in one direction.
