IMB-9452 Motherboard

Legacy IDE Channels [SATA Pri, PATA Sec]

Use the Legacy IDE Channels option configures PATA and SATA resources for operating

systems that require legacy IDE operation.

SATA Only

Enable up to four SATA devices

PATA Pri,

SATA Sec

This option allows the system to access the primary IDE

devices before the SATA devices

SATA Pri,

PATA Sec

EFAULT

This option allows the system to access the SATA

devices before the primary IDE devices

PATA Only

Enable the two primary IDE devices. Select this option

only when the two primary IDE devices are available

IDE Master and IDE Slave

When entering setup, BIOS auto detects the presence of IDE devices. This displays the

status of the auto detected IDE devices. The following IDE devices are detected and are

shown in the

IDE Configuration

menu:

Primary IDE Master

Primary IDE Slave

Secondary IDE Master

Secondary IDE Slave

The

IDE Configuration

menu (

BIOS Menu 4

) allows changes to the configurations for the

IDE devices installed in the system. If an IDE device is detected, and one of the above

listed four BIOS configuration options are selected, the IDE configuration options shown in

Section 5.3.2.1

appear.

5.3.2.1 IDE Master, IDE Slave

IDE Master and IDE Slave configuration options for both primary and secondary IDE

devices are shown in the BIOS menu below.
