The feeder cable length must be kept as short as possible and requires a minimum of 20 twists per
meter (6 twists per foot). Parallel feeds need to be separated by a minimum of 50 cm (20”) to avoid
cross-talk.
A minimum distance of 1 m (3 feet) from any metallic objects must be maintained to reduce effects
on the inductive field. Note: reinforced concrete has high metal content.
If position markers cannot be synchronized, care must be taken to avoid cross-talk between loops.
The minimum distance between individual loops is therefore 1.5 m (4 ft); however, a distance of 2 m
(6 ft) is recommended.
